Understanding your Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you'll see when you log in to Authorbase. It's where you'll see your high-level data.

Dashboard Filters

To keep the dashboard easy to use, you'll find a limited set of filters. Select your favorite timeframe between a small set of preselected options. You can also change the way the data is broken down. For wide authors, we recommend using the default "Marketplace" option. For authors in Kindle Unlimited, you may find that the "Format" option makes more sense for you.

Your Daily Summary

At the top, you’ll see four figures:

  • Today: Sales recorded so far today
  • Yesterday: Total sales from the previous day
  • This month: Sales from the start of the current calendar month
  • Last month: Sales from the previous calendar month

Below those numbers, you'll find a bar chart for the selected timeframe in the selected breakdown option. You can analyze your recent sales that way!

Top Earners

At a glance, see which books are making you the most money in the selected timeframe. This is great to see which books are performing well.

Breakdowns

We have various doughnut charts to help you visualize your data for the selected timeframe. See which marketplaces you're selling in, which books are performing better, which countries you're doing well in, etc.

Marketplaces

Curious to see how you're performing compared to the previous period? Our Marketplaces charts show you how you're doing this period in orange and how you did last period in gray. We also list your bestselling books at the bottom, so you can compare which books are selling on which marketplace.
